So what do i think of these announcements? There are awesome announcements here.

I am glad to see that we are getting are 1st English Exclusive set in Cardcaptor Sakura. I think that is a great sign for the English game that we are starting to get exclusive sets. While I do agree with some people that finishing off incomplete sets should be a priority, I am not going to scoff at a set which could really expand the player base for the game. Even though I won’t invest in the set,  I know some people that are really excited to have the opportunity to play Sakura in Weiss.

Also on the English side, we have a couple of releases which will be nice additions to the English side. No Game No Life based off of previews looks like it will bean interesting set for sure. I have played Fate/Apocrypha in JP and I will say that the set while not broken does have a couple of nice deck builds, a new mechanic based off of the command seals in the series (with nice payoffs), and is overall a solid set. It can compete with many of the English sets I think. Also Kancolle players will finally get the last booster after multiple delays and Bang Dream is getting it’s 2nd booster which really adds strength to the set. .

On the JP side, I am excited to see SAO GGO get a set. I personally enjoyed the anime a lot and loved the characters in it. It has been confirmed to be standalone set- it is not playable with the other SAO sets. It will allow newer players to get a set in the SAO universe without having to dive through 100s of cards. Let’s face it, the SAO set can be intimidating to build from scratch these days.

I’m also excited to see Bang Dream get more support on the JP side. Personally I am starting the process of building a deck (going to be Poppin’ Party) and am glad to getting into it at the time of the speciual set release. It looks like it will add some nice tech, but it is only a 40 card set, which means it won’t drastically change things. Previews for this set look interesting.

I already have picked up TD+ decks for Darling in the Franxx and am anxiously awaiting the previews before the set releases in September. The TD+ cards were quite good, so hopefully the booster will be good as well.

Sadly, I don’t know much about Summer Pockets or Revue Starlight at the moment, so I won’t be investing in those sets. I might start watching Revue Starlight but either way, I have way too many sets coming out to take that plunge.

And finally, I am most excited for the announcement of Steins; Gate. One of my all time favorite series, I am excited to see it finally getting a Weiss set. Hopefully , they will find a way to incorporate the time travel elements into the set. I have a feeling that this set will be popular especially considering the new season which is currently airing, has the franchise fresh in people’s minds. This series was the one on top of my Weiss wish list, so I am stoked. I also already have card supplies for the series, so I ready to go.

So that’s it for the announcements for today. What are you excited about? What would you like to see come to the game?
