Greetings! Sorry for the delay in getting this out. Between work, social commitments and being sick I didn’t have the time to get this post out until now.  We are now well into the final anime season of 2018 and we certainly have some gems to watch this season. Unlike many of you, I guess I am still feeling out series at this time- partially due to not having a ton of time to watch anime. I will say this though, the season appears to be another strong one.  So enough of the introductions, let’s get to the list for the week!

Sword Art Online Alicization Ep. 3-4

The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Ep. 3-5

A Certain Magical Index III Ep. 3-4

Fairy Tail Ep. 280

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai Ep. 3-4

Zombie Land Saga Ep. 1

Goblin Slayer Ep. 3

Major 2nd Ep. 20-25

Guranzeni Money Pitch Ep. 1

The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Ep. 1-2

SSSS Gridman Ep. 3-4

A Certain Magical Index Ep. 4-11

Space Battleship Tiramasu Ep. 1-2

Radiant Ep. 1

bunny senpai ep. 3

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai ended it’s opening arc on an amazing note. It was great to see a romance arc advance to the confession stage without it being the final episode. The chemistry and character interactions between Sakuta and Mai are an absolute treat to watch. The episode also contained one of the best confession scenes that I have seen in any anime. Admittedly, I was a bit apprehensive going into episode 4. You just had a confession between the two main characters and being it was so early it could only mean one thing. Fortunately, the new arc and new characters were not disappointing and we still got to see more of the relationship between our two leads. Bunny Senpai certainly has surprised em this season and I am glad that I gave it a shot.

The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is which qualifies under the rarely used statement: This is a good Issekai anime. I know a shocker right? The series has a real charm to it. Rimuru is a fun and snarky main protagonist who actually has a reason for being an OP protagonist. I liked how Rimuru was willing to help others despite being in a situation in which most individuals wouldn’t do such a thing. It also helps that the supporting cast also is fun to watch as well. The early episodes indicate that we might actually be into a well constructed world as we have already seen multiple locations and races. I am sold on this series. On a final note the dub is absolutely amazing- check it out as well.

Sword Art Online is on track to have one of it’s best story arcs to date in my opinion. Yes, there are still some issues which keep plaguing the series such as Kirito’s insane ability to do what we wants without explanation but there is plenty of good stuff to be had here. As of episode 4, there are still an insane amount of questions to be answered about the world that Kirito finds himself in and the people that he is interacting with. Hopefully we can start to get some answers as there is clearly something going on with the world Kirito finds himself in.

It was also great to see the focus of A Certain Magical Index III shift to Accelerator and his band of espers in Academy City in Episode 4. While I certainly enjoyed the first arc of the season, anytime Accelerator is involved in something means a fun watch. We also got to see the members of ITEM in action once again which was a a fun surprise. There were some fun and intense sequences in this episode and also plenty of intrigue as well. I certainly chuckled when Accelerator committed a carjacking and it didn’t take much for the guy to submit to his demands. That is the sign of a bad ass there.  I am excited to see what will happen in the upcoming episodes of the series.

No bad episodes this week- yay!

Other Thoughts

This season seems to have a lot of really great stuff to watch and I am hoping to finally get on track with the shows that I have settled on hopefully find time to check out some more series!

I also have made my way to the Sisters arc of the OG Index series and I honestly forgot just how good the arc and the series as a whole actually was. I had it ranked fairly high after my first viewing but I guess I am coming to appreciate the series more a second time around.

And that concludes my thoughts for this block of episodes. I will try to get back on track with my weekly posts by the end of the week. Hopefully, I can accomplish this. What did you think of the episodes on my list? Any series that you feel that I should check out?  Please message me below or send me your recommendations on Twitter (@Railgunfan75).
